Sunday: A Net Gain of One American in Nepal
The Himalayas were just barely visible from my balcony this morning.
My pediatric dentist-friends, Dawn and Ann, were supposed to arrive from the US at 12:30 AM. However, they missed their connection in Doha and were put on the next flight to Kathmandu. They arrived at 9:05 AM and were picked up by a car for transit to the DLR.
Meanwhile, Susan and I enjoyed a good DLR breakfast and afterwards relaxed with coffee on the lower level coffee lounge.
Susan's car to the KTM airport departed just after Dawn & Ann arrived at the DLR -- a net gain of one American!
Despite their travel fatigue, I took Dawn & Ann for a walkabout around the sights of Dhulikhel. We stopped at Yummy deResto for a momo and french fry lunch.
They each had a DLR massage and fell asleep early. I worked at my DLR room and was asleep early too. There were loud thunderstorms in the night.
