Tuesday: Leslie teaches again and we visit Chaukot... And then a fantastic dinner!
What a day! I woke up seeing a coyote on my Dallas patio's webcam.
When I met Leslie for an early breakfast, she was chatting with the proprietor of the DLR. He invited us up several flights of stairs to view the newly completed swimming pool. With cups of coffee, we found our way upstairs and witnessed an amazing sunrise from the spectacular location.
After a great DLR breakfast, we had a refreshing walk to the hospital/school.
At school, Leslie gave a 9:00AM lecture to the 2nd year students.
After that, Anil needed to go to the medical campus HQ in nearby Chaukot and he invited us to join him. It was a winding road drive of about 15 minutes. Anil needed to grade some exams for about an hour, so he asked the Director of Academics to show us around the school.
This is the basic science campus for medical/dental/nursing/pharmacy/PT/etc. There were many classroom and lab buildings. This is one of many many student hostels. These are not co-ed.
Leslie found the yoga center and demonstrated her poses.
We had tea at the canteen.
After returning to the dental school, we met Manisha's husband who was on campus interviewing for PhD program position. He joined us for lunch at the canteen. We ate biryani.
In the clinic, I consulted with Manisha on this case she was treating.
After school I saw this "lumberjack" on our walk back to the DLR.
I had arranged for 3 students to meet us for dinner at 6PM. As we gathered and were deciding where to have dinner, Dr. Ram happened to come by. We had a great hour-long chat with him on a wide variety of topics. The students enjoyed coffees while Leslie, Dr. Ram and I had beers. After he left, we went inside for dinner at the DLR restaurant and enjoyed a great meal.
