Thursday: Leslie and I fly to Pokhara
After a delightful breakfast at the DLR, Leslie and I packed our things and caught a ride to the Kathmandu airport domestic terminal.
We were scheduled to have a 1:30 flight, but arrived at the airport before 11:30. Buddha Airlines put us on the next flight to Pokhara and we were on our way.
Our plane did not crash and we arrived at the very nice and new Pokhara airport, where Ramu, the manager of the Yellow Pagoda Hotel, met us.
Ramu delivered us to the Yellow Pagoda. After getting checked in, we went for a walk along the lake.
I saw these water buffalo from my room.
The lake front area is super touristy, but still remarkably beautiful.
Godfather's Pizza had been suggested to us. The pizza was not great. We had Baskin Robbins ice cream which was very good.
Back at the hotel, we found the rooftop pool and had a beer watching the twilight, then we relaxed near this funny sea mural.
Tomorrow we are visiting the General Medical College (GMC) (dental school).
