Saturday: Relaxing with a few short walks... another beautiful day

I slept in this morning until almost 8:30. My back is feeling better today. It remains imperfect, but did not require any ibuprofen today. Rest heals! I also bought some bannanas today -- in case my back muscles need potassium? A great placebo, regardless.

My tennis shoes were delaminating: the blue rubber sole was fully coming apart from the white rubber part. So I super-glued it back together and it seems to be working. Hopefully that repair will endure until April 14!

I laced up those shoes and took a walk to breakfast. Along the way I saw this woman. I think she was a street sweeper. She was sweeping along the curbs.

Then I saw this woman doing laundry.

At the Tik Tok cafe, I had breakfast. The fried eggs were good. I didn't eat the omelette. My breakfast cost $5.25.

The Turmeric Latte sounds nasty!

This is a new restaurant that just opened. I like the name: Smile Cafe. I'll probably try it sometime. There are many eateries here.

These apartments look over the hospital. They always have laundry drying on their railings

I worked in my apartment most of the day. I got my U.S. income taxes mostly completed. It looks like I projected accurately, so I will only be getting a small refund.

At dusk, I took another walk to get dinner. I saw this group building a streetside fire. Later, when I was walking home, they had a huge wok on the fire with what appeared to be frying (fried) rice.

I saw this near-sunset.

I tried a new restaurant for dinner: The Bamboo Cafe. One of the German girls told me she had visited here. This was my tableside view. You can tell how warm it is by my T-shirt.

The pizza was typical of most non-pizza restaurants. I suspect these are just some type of frozen pizza. They are bland; but I prefer bland to spicy or weird. I ate about half. The chicken satay was good: typical -- with a peanut-buttery coating/flavor. I ate 3 of those skewers. Like most pastires here, the apple pie was not nearly as sweetened as pies in the US, and it was hugely seasoned -- with too much cinnamon. I had a few bites and enjoyed the ice cream. My dinner was $10.

This is the walk down the street to the hospital.
