Monday: "The days are long, but the years are short"

This morning I had breakfast with Leslie and Travis.

Before we walked to school, we showed Travis the beautiful view from the upper level swimming pool at the DLR.

Travis was introduced to the oral surgery department by Dr. Kafle.

At the school, Leslie gave an 8:30 lecture inspiring the students with her personal pathway to success.

Later, Anil showed Leslie how he keeps attendance records. Students must have 80% attendance.

At the Canteen for lunch we met more new friends. From Left to right are: Carolina & Anna (both German dental students), Leslie, Travis, Bianca (a German lab tech), Dash, Julia (A German dental student), me, and Paula (Julia's classmate).

After lunch I took Paula and Julia to the hospital store to but Dhulikhel Hospital logo fleece jackets ($18 US). They look very stylish and they are warm.

Walking home to the DLR after school, Leslie and I saw this motorbike carrying milk (probably for making curd/yoghurt).

I invited the 4 german students and the 3 Nepali students for dinner at the DLR. Carolina was unwell and couldn't join us. Left to right is: me, Aagya, Kamana, Leslie, Anna, Paula, Julia, and Neha. We had a feast!

Tomorrow Leslie and I are traveling to an "outreach clinic" with my prosthodontist friend, Dr. Smriti and her team. They are extracting teeth and making impressions for dentures at a rural community location. We may not get back until late, so the blog may be silent again for a day or two. But I think the images will be worth the wait.
