Friday: A Busy Day in Pokhara

I saw the sun rise in Pokhara. This is the view from my room's balcony.

We had a buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Dr. Deepa, the senior endodontist at Gandaki Medical College (GMC) picked us up at 8:45 and took us to the dental school.

We toured the school and then Leslie and I each gave a lecture presentation. Three of the 4 endodontists in Pokhara attended. Here I am with those three.

Afterwards, we were invited to a delightful lunch in the faculty canteen.

Then a driver gave us a ride back to the Yellow Pagoda Hotel.

We enjoyed a Coca-Cola on the hotel rooftop and then rested before venturing out for an evening walk.

We had ice cream at the Amul ice cream shop.

Leslie did some shopping.

The litter here is unbelievable.

This guy was roasting fresh corn on the street.

The Mona Lisa restaurant had been recommended to us by two different people today, so we had dinner there. It was good. Happy Friday!

Interestingly, my hotel room has a swastika on the ceiling. This is not a Nazi symbol here, but is rather a Hindu or Sanskrit symbol.
