SUNDAY: Lalitpur / NEPDENT day 3, and enroute to Chitwan

On Sunday morning, I had breakfast at my hotel in Lalitpur.

The views from the rooftop of the hotel are quite spectacular.

The main purpose of my day was speaking at the NepDent conference. I gave a one hour lecture titled, "Is a root canal just a space maintainer for a future implant." My presentation seemed to be well received. Immediately following it, I was asked to reprise it on April 7 for an implantology conference in Kathmandu.

I met these delightful dental students from Kantipur Dental College.

I saw this mobile ATM parked outside the convention hall. I had never seen one of those before.

We had lunch at the convention before heading out on our trip to Chitwan National Park. Dash & Nisha brought their girls to the convention, so we could leave directly after my presentation. I had chicken fried rice.

After a 3 hour drive through winding canyon roads with heavy traffic, we arrived at the Riverside Springs Resort. We checked in and then enjoyed a great fireside dinner, which included chicken momos and beers from a nearby brewery.
