MONDAY, arriving in Chitwan national park

I woke up in Cottage 13 of the Riverside Springs Resort after a warm night's sleep. I enjoyed a hot shower and then joined the Kafle's for a great riverside breakfast. What a view! The mist obscure the upper reaches of the deep valley. The river noise was loud.

We walked around the property.

Is this a bird of paradise flower?

This treehouse had a great view.

The pool is the main attraction with warm spring-fed water. The girls really enjoyed themselves.

We packed up and headed down-river. 10K in to our journey we were stopped for a few hours due to road construction. Maintaining these roads must be really difficult due to the steepness of the canyons. But our stoppage was the perfect opportunity to charge up Dash's electric vehicle --a s there was a charging station there! We walked across the bridges and enjoyed the rest.

A few hours later and we arrived at Chitwan National Park and checked into the Park Safari Resort. We arrived right before sunset, so we enjoyed a welcome mango juice and toasted the sunset.

My room has a great view.

We walked down the street and had a tasty dinner.
