Houseboating on the backwaters of Kerala, India
We had breakfast at the hotel, took a group photo and then boarded our bus -- driving to go houseboating on the backwaters of Kerala.
Our group of 17 was divided onto four of these house boats --each with two or three staterooms. These were air-conditioned, with a private bathroom, and there was a common lounge area. We spent some time sitting on the foredeck with the captain watching the scenery. There was a kitchen in the rear of each boat. We had lunches and dinners together on the largest boat, but had breakfast on our own boats.
This was the lunch when we first arrived on the boats.
We were on the houseboats for two nights. These were very relaxing days. Here are some images from those days:
