Sunday, Day 2 of the Dental Traumatology Conference

I started the day watching our orthodontic resident, Arjun, and endodontist, Nisha, give oral presentations. Arjun, won a bronze medal for his performance.

I was a Moderator/Chairperson for one session. This Tokyo endodontist co-chaired with me. He told me that he trained endo in San Antonio and remembered when I spoke for the Texas endo resident meeting in 2018. Another small world story.

In teh afternoon, we snealed away from the meeting for just a few hours and were able to thoroughly see the Taj mahal. We rode Tuk-tuk vehicles from the hotel to the Taj Mahal. The Taj mahal is impressive. But I think the US Capital building in DC is equally impressive. However, this was built in the 1400's with all human labor.

We ended our day with a group meal at the Taj's restaurant. I was craving spaghetti -- and they prepared it for me! The Christmas theme decorations seem a bit odd for a nearly wholly Hindu country. There were very few Anglos at this hotel. I think I was the only American at the conference (although most of the attendees were Indian, there were a few others from 16 countries). There were several large Indian weddings taking place at this hotel. The fancy clothing is interesting.
