My first trip to India started Thursday Dec 15

 A lot has happened. Let me catch you up. I woke at the Kathmandu Kamari and guest house on Thursday morning and enjoyed my typical breakfast.

Dash and Nisha picked me up in  a taxi and we were off to the airport. Soon after arriving at the airport, we learned that our Nepal Airlines flight to Delhi was delayed.... it ended up being delayed 7 hours! it was a long wait. There were 7 of us heading to Delhi. All were dentists, and all were from the Dhulikhel school (except for Nisha). We has 3 endodontists, one orthodontist and one ortho reside t, and one pediatric dentist and one pedo resident. Here we are waiting and having a snack rpovided by Nepal Airlines.

 

When we were about to board, I found this guy in a Texas A&M hat. He is an electrical engineer from Kazakhstan and had done some internship at A&M. He was enroute to a conference in Malaysia. Small world.

We finally made it to Delhi and had a taxi ride to our hotel, the Park View Hotel, around midnight. My room cost $2000 rupees (around $24 US). I had never seen a red bar of soap before.
