Friday Night in Kathmandu, a rainbow at the end of a busy day.

You would think that I would get tired of the monotony of eating the same breakfast repetitively. I don't. I really like this breakfast at the Kumari Inn.

After breakfast I took an InDrive taxi (rideshare app) to the Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine (IOM) dental school. Typically, Nisha would pick me up and take me there with her, but her car had an accident two weeks ago so she's taking scooter rides until her car is repaired.
As I walked along the IOM campus, I saw this creepy shrine.

And then I saw these beautiful flowers.

I took a selfie at the school's entrance.

At the department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, I saw Nisha's little sister, Sayana, doing operative dentistry. She is a general dentist -- recent graduate of the Dhulikhel dental school.

I watched Annu working on a root canal. Annu is a newly graduated endodontic specialist and just 2 days ago was hired as a full-time faculty member to assist Nisha.

I watched Nisha do a root-end surgery on a maxillary lateral incisor. She obtained an excellent result.

This was her next case -- trauma!

I went to lunch with Nisha, Annu and one of their IOM colleagues.

They dropped me back at the Kumari Inn and they all then went to their respective "moonlighting" practices.

It rained most of the afternoon. Around 5:30PM, It stopped raining enough for me to take a muddy walk. I saw this rainbow.

I found this place for dinner. It looked clean, so I ordered a chicken sizzler and a Fanta.

I splurged and got a piece of cake for dessert. Nepal cakes are not sweet. I only ate a few bites.

On my walk back top the Kumari Inn, I stopped at this little shop. There are literally thousands of these shops throughout Kathmandu.

I am scheduled to speak at another CE event on Wednesday. I'm not sure why they made two versions of this flyer.
